Special Guest

CATHERINE MCGOOHAN

Six of One is thrilled to have secured Catherine McGoohan as our special guest for the 2024 Convention.

Catherine is very enthusiastic and excited to return to the village for what will be our 40th PortmeiriCon. This will be an extraordinary, landmark convention not to be missed.

SIX OF ONE PRESENTS

DON'T GET YOURSELF KILLED

Six of One presents a unique vision of the Gerald Kelsey story 'Don't Get Yourself Killed'. Unused in the Prisoner series, we have recreated this fascinating script in the form of a 3-part drama. A truly absorbing and entertaining experience.

ROYAL OAKELEY BRASS BAND

Following a successful appearance at the 2023 event, we are delighted to welcome back the Oakeley Brass Band.

The band will perform Prisoner pieces and other favourites.

SUNDAY NIGHT ENTERTAINMENT

IGNITION

We welcome to Portmeirion, for the very first time, this highly versatile and high tempo four-piece band from Staffordshire. Ignition are well known for their staple 50's Rock 'N' Roll and Rockabilly music but love to keep the party going with songs from the 1960s and 1970s too.

SPECIAL GUEST : TONY SLOMAN

Tony was the film librarian, working on the first thirteen episodes of 'The Prisoner', for nigh on a year. He is an ever popular guest, extremely knowledgeable about the series, blessed with a good memory, and his enthusiasm for 'The Prisoner' is infectious.

His summary of the series,“The bravest, the classiest, and, without question, the most original television series ever attempted".

SPECIAL GUEST : MALCOLM NANCE

The New Number Two: Evaluating the Fitness of the Village Management Team

This will be a study of the interrogation methodologies that each Number Two chose to use. And almost invariably why they fell back on “stress and duress” out of frustration and not breaking Number Six. I will go episode by episode and reveal why Number Six was actually the best Number Two!  I will also reveal the size of the team necessary to operate the village as a prison and interrogation center based on REAL facilities of that size.  They exist!
