Welcome to the Convention Accommodation request section

Accommodation is only for Six of One members who have also registered and paid their separate Convention registration fee. Please ensure that you have done this before sending the form, otherwise it will not be possible to process your request. Please read all the information and guidance notes below before fully completing this form.

As indicated below, there are a number of mandatory fields marked by *. If you do not receive a Thank You message when you press the Send Message button, it means that all the required data has not been entered. Scroll down the form to see any errors that have been highlighted and correct the input. Once you are directed to the Thank You message, this is confirmation that yout request has been logged by the system. Note also that you will only need to enter the priority drop-down options if you have selected more than one accommodation type.

You should normally receive an email receipt of your request within 7 days and this will guide you to the next steps and timing.

Accommodation Request Guidance Notes

There is generally a great demand for accommodation (particularly self-catering) and places are allocated as fairly as possible, therefore booking early is advised. It is important that this form is fully completed and sent ASAP to avoid disappointment. Six of One reserves the right to refuse accommodation in certain circumstances. All Convention weekend accommodation is for three nights of Friday 11^th April to Sunday 13^th April 2025. All check-ins are done at the Castell from 15:00 on Friday 11^th April and checkout is 10:00 on Monday 14^th April.

Self-Catering Information

Please do not request self-catering accommodation if you do not want to share with other members. Meals are not included.

The cost of self-catering accommodation is divided equally among the members who are sharing and any cancellation means that the cost effectively rises for the remaining members as the total cost for the cottage still has to be paid to Portmeirion. Therefore, refunds for cancellation will generally not be given. Prices for self-catering vary dependent on the size of cottage and the number of people sharing. As a rough guide these can be from £220 to £350 per person for the weekend. Please include the names of all those with whom you wish to share accommodation. Please make sure that these are members who have paid their registration fee and have agreed to share the accommodation (please do not assume that this is the case). If your booking does not completely fill a cottage, spare rooms will be allocated to other members wishing to secure a self-catering place. No rooms / cottages will be left vacant so this could result in sharing with an unfamiliar face. Please note that all bookings are provisional until confirmed by the society. On rare occasions, it may be necessary to change cottages offered in order to accommodate all requests in a reasonable and sensitive manner. In such circumstances we will endeavour to relocate members in accommodation similar to their provisional booking.

Hotel and Serviced Rooms Information

The room rates for Hotel and serviced rooms vary depending on the type of room requested, e.g. Village serviced room or Hotel room, Bed and Breakfast or Bed, Breakfast and Evening Meal. A hotel room for 2 people with B&B only can be upwards of £750 as a very rough guide.

The deadline for requesting accommodation is 31^st October 2024 and emails confirming allocation will be sent out by 8^th November 2024. Payments must be made by 20^th December 2024. No more bookings will be taken after this date. Any outstanding payments will result in bookings not being made.

Payment

Details of payment options will be included in the accommodation offer email. The society wishes to stress that the safest, quickest and most convenient means of payment is through bank transfer.

Please note: Six of One only facilitates bookings, consequently any accommodation booking is not made with Six of One. All bookings are with Portmeirion and as such, their terms and conditions apply. These can be found at https://portmeirion.wales/terms-and-conditions. All accommodation requests, bookings, amendments and cancellations are subject to these T&Cs. It is strongly recommended that guests take out travel insurance in the event of cancellation. Refunds or exchanges are not given.
